Stress Engineer

Description:
Location: Chula Vista, CA
Rate: $77.00 - $85.00/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Shift: 1st Shift
No Per Diem Split or Relocation

****MUST be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident****

Job Description:
- Perform structural analysis in support of composite and metallic nacelle components using standard analysis methods and finite element analysis approaches.
- Conduct design trades and optimizations considering safety, strength, weight, cost and producibility.
- Generate analysis reports suitable for transmittal to airworthiness authority and customer.
- Communication of technical issues through written, verbal and presentation media.
- Must work well in a team environment.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- NASTRAN/PATRAN and PC/UNIX experience.
- Strong background in analysis of aircraft/airframe structures (classical hand analysis and finite element skills); Nacelle stress analysis preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with team oriented mentality.
- Experience working with multi-discipline and international teams across different time zones a plus.
