Lab Test Instrumentation Engineer - TS I

Description:
Inconen is looking for a Lab Test Instrumentation Engineer - TS I for our client, a well-known Aerospace Company, in Savannah, GA.

**Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident**
**Will Consider Spring 2022 Master's Graduates**

Required:
-Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering Degree

Desired Experience:
-Experience with the design, programing and testing various embedded hardware systems to assist in data acquisition.
-Experience with setup, configuration and testing of various data acquisition/recorder systems.
-Experience with the design and installation of GPS antenna systems and Aircraft transducer installation, calibration, and test of a variety of measurements including strain, pressures, temperatures, flows, g-forces and ARINC bus pickoffs.
-Experience working with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers to troubleshoot electrical hardware, network protocols, C++ and Python programming language, Catia and mechanical design competition/ release.

Desired Skills:
-Regression/Curve-fitting data analysis
-Computer networking
-Sensor and/or transducer design
-Video configuration and setup
-Database tools

Preferred Equipment Experience:
-Experience configuring and troubleshooting data acquisition systems.
-Experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting video systems.
-Experience with all of the following flight test systems and software that are used to support.
-Symvionics IADS
-TTC Ware
-Epiphan Video Recorder

Summary:
-Lab Test instrumentation team defines, develops, and designs the instrumentation data acquisition system for multiple test facilities.
-Also, the instrumentation team is responsible for calibration, setup, validation, data retention and operation of the data acquisition system.
-The data acquisition system is comprised of multiple hardware and software components like time code generators, antennas, GPS repeaters, power supplies, computer workstations, cabinet housing equipment, vendor-supplied and GAC-built software with databases, recorders, electrical wiring input and output panels, hard drives, transducers and sensors, chassis with internal cards, terminal blocks, computers, and network switches.

Education and Experience Requirements
-Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
-5 years in specific technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.
-Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 years for Masters, 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

-Assists with the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of company products and services

-Contributes to planning, developing and coordinating of important engineering projects.
-Provides specialized technical assistance to team members.
-Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
-Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
-Works under limited supervision; work should only be required. to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives.
-Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area.

Additional Functions:
-Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements.
-Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
-Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
-The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
