Summary:
Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation from aircraft level down to system and item levels.
Develop and maintain functional and logical airplane/system architectures.
Ensure Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), and Common Mode Analyses (CMA) meet safety objectives.
Guide item-level design and implementation, ensuring traceability to all requirement levels (DRO, SRO, SCD).
Develop plans and execute verification and validation activities across the full V-model (item verification, system integration & verification, aircraft-level verification).
Support safety analyses including SSA, FMEA/FMES, and compliance with aerospace and defense regulations (DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761).
Lead coordination and technical discussions across software and hardware engineering teams during design and testing.
Prepare documentation and provide support for certification authorities (FAA/EASA).

Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
9+ years of systems engineering lifecycle experience in aerospace, automotive, or other complex systems.
Strong hands-on experience with V-diagram processes (requirements, design, implementation, verification, validation).
Knowledge of safety assessments: FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES.
Familiarity with certification frameworks including ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
Strong analytical skills, technical writing ability, and experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
System modeling experience using SysML/UML (Cameo or similar).
Experience leading test planning and execution across multiple integration levels.
Knowledge of aircraft design, development, and certification processes.
