Electrical Design Engineer

Description:
Candidates will be part of the Electrical Engineering team. Their focus will be on electrical design with heavy hands-on experience utilizing Mentor Graphics.

Job Functions:
• Candidate must have in depth knowledge of electrical harness design methodology, regulatory requirements & guidance documentation.
• Extensive experience with Mentor Graphics Capital software is required.
• Knowledge of EWIS component qualification requirements and documentation.
• Must be able to produce and maintain wiring diagrams, cable/wire harness assemblies and rack/panel designs from electrical system schematics.
• Must have the ability to assign wires/cables to their correct harness assembly, based on EMI/EMC, system separation & functionality requirements.

Preferred:
• An understanding and working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 23 and associated guidance material as it pertains to this technical discipline is preferred

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad engineering experience with Bachelors.
