    Experience in Workday, we need turnkey experience, and though others are similar there's enough variance and not enough time for ramp to cross-train. The first bullet point in the JD listed above is a must have. Understanding of People/HR/Talent/Payroll functions is a must Vast/proven success in reporting, metrics, etc.; must be able to prepare data for front-line teams all the way to the C-Suite/Board of Director
NOTE: This is a contract to hire opportunity - if performance is there candidate will be considered for direct hire in 6 months.
Location is Alameda, CA ONSITE
The Senior Workday HRIS Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Workday for Astra. The Sr. Analyst will continually add new modules, enhancing existing functionality to maximize the HRIS platform. Seeking expertise in HCM, Onboarding, Talent and Performance, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Advanced Compensation, Absence and Projects. The successful candidate is expected to understand and support the end-to-end touchpoints within all modules in addition to driving all reporting.
How You'll Fulfill Your Mission:
      Participates in the ongoing requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment of new functionality or modules. Understands the importance of change management to facilitate the transition to new technology and processes. Addresses end-user support cases as assigned. Troubleshoots and resolves production support issues and resolves issues timely and with exceptional customer service. Effectively partners with teams such as HR, Recruiting, Payroll, Finance, IT, and others to provide support, diagnose and troubleshoot issues and resolve complex system problems Maintains technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in Workday Community and other forums, including on-line discussions, brainstorms, voting, training, webinars, etc. to build a network of peers to learn and share best practices. Participates in Workday releases and drive appropriate adoption plans. Maintain change documentation and training materials.
Why We Value You:
      Bachelor's degree in and 3-4 years of Workday configuration experience with the following modules: HCM, Talent and Performance, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Advanced Compensation, Absence and Projects, Onboarding Knowledge of HR i.e., responsibility in new hires, terminations, leaves of absences, employee benefits, immigration, etc.). Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office. Team player, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential. Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations. Analytical mindset with a strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues. Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as on a team. Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to learn new systems and processes. Ability to work within a team environment with global team members and time-zones. Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training. Demonstrated Workday reporting capabilities Customer service oriented with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations and deliver an excellent experience.
