JOB TITLE: Electrical Assembler A

LOCATION: El Segundo, CA

PAY RATE: $25.00 per hour.

***MUST BE US PERSONS***

    Contract 12 mos. - potential for extended term

    10 openings

    Ability to start at 5AM is needed

Summary:

    Performs a variety of technical manufacturing production assembly operations where accurate visual acuity and manual dexterity are required to fabricate production solar cell assemblies and solar panels for space applications.

    Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.

    Perform hand soldering, wire harness assembly and component bonding

    Complete documentation accurately

    Operates tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder iron, wire identification and associated tools

    Adheres to established company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations

    Demonstrated experience using a computer to look up and record information (Excel & Word)

    This position requires the ability to work first or second shift

    Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

    Reliable, mechanically inclined, detail orientated

    Ability to work in a team atmosphere and displays a positive attitude

    Effective verbal and written communication skills

    Work overtime as required

    Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

    Must wear a smock, hair cover, and gloves during work

    Requires accurate visual acuity

Required Skills:

    Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

    Ability to solder under a microscope or learn how

    Read and interpret drawing and engineering specifications

    Perform basic PC Commands

    Ability to start at 5AM

    Software skills required: Word, Powerpoint, MESCI, TeamCenter

Key Skills:

    Perform hand soldering, wire harness assembly and component bonding

    Ability to solder under a microscope

    Perform basic PC Command

    Software skills required: Word, Powerpoint, MESCI, TeamCenter

    Exp using a soldering iron, wire stripper, mechanical hand tools.

Desired Skills:

    JSTD Module 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6
