What You’ll Do:

Execute and manage complex risk data and analysis on major/critical commodities, services, and complex procurements, with emphasis on improving mitigation models and strategies for supply chain risk prevention measures and disruptive events.
Prepare and issue moderate to high complexity, risk analysis that includes material and financial forecasts.
Ensure all procurement actions which commit the company are properly documented, reviewed and approved consistent with policy and procedure.
Identify risks and mitigation strategies in terms and conditions
Work with management to address all aspects of supply chain risk management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, proposal reviews, and product availability
Support proposal activities with risk management solutions to meet Program needs and requirements
Recommend risk management mitigation and prevention measures
Build productive internal/external working relationships
May coordinate activities of other personnel
Attend proposal planning and proposal kickoff meetings
Collaborate with functional areas to obtain the latest program information to conduct analysis
Provide inputs into the risk within procurement decisions including make/buy, source selection, market research and supplier qualifications
Participate on proposal evaluation teams to ensure they meet minimal risk prevention requirements
Ensure communications regarding risk status is being generated, presented and distributed to appropriate personnel
Conduct supplier risk reviews and audits, as appropriate
Lead, direct, mentor and train other supply chain professionals
Support continuous improvement activities to drive material commonality and cost, schedule and risk reductions
Support internal, customer, and external compliance audits

What You’ll Need:

Has strong knowledge in assigned risk analysis or similar analyses, research, and advanced decision-making skills
Exercises good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
Developing project management skill
Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while demonstrating superior presentation, communication, team building and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to work as an individual contributor or on a team
Ability to quickly understand and apply new information quickly; handles more complex
Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment
Strong knowledge of Supply Management and how to implement strategies into practice
Has general knowledge/understanding of Government contractor purchasing requirements and procurement processs
Has general knowledge in the applicable contractual flow downs, General Dynamic’s policies/procedures, federal, state, Federal Acquisition Requirements/DFAR , and local laws, and the ability to apply them in the procurements of commodities/services/subcontracts
Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions that enable the business to achieve their goals
Advanced computer skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a small team

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required combined with 8 + years of relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree combined with 6 + years of relevant work experience.
