Electrical/Analog Design Engineer

Description:
An Electrical/Analog Design Engineer job in McLeansville, NC is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will participate in electrical requirements analysis and definition, functional analysis, performance analysis (e.g. timing, power, etc.), design, integration and verification of electrical components, equipment and systems. You will also plan and lead electrical engineering root cause analysis as well as develop and present electrical requirements and results to internal management and customers. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.

Electrical/Analog Design Engineer Job duties:
* Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
* Proven knowledge of electrical engineering processes and design tools
* Circuit Design expertise
* Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
* Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
* Feedback / Control systems experience
* Power System architecture and grounding
* Isolated Switching Converters
* Transmission Line Effects in power systems
* EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc)
* Magnetics Design and High Speed Design experience are desirable
* Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
* The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
* Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
* Ability to travel as needed


Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
* Schematic capture (Mentor Graphics or similar electronic design tools)
* Embedded firmware (C, C++)
* FPGA Design - VHDL (Xilinx)
* Sensor control & management
* Familiarity with Radio frequency (RF) communications systems
* Familiarity with Fiber Optic Communications Systems
* Familiarity with Power supply and high voltage direct current (DC) design, development, qualification, and testing
* Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
