Director, Contracts Administration

Description:
Inconen is looking for a Director, Contracts Administration for our client, a well-known Aerospace Company, in Orlando, FL.

**Candidates must be U.S. Citizens without Dual Citizenship**
**Relocation package avail if the candidate is more than 50 miles from location**

Duties:
-The Director of Contracts Administration will be responsible for contracts and new business contractual functions.
-The position will be responsible for providing executive leadership and management of department resources to ensure the achievement of the division’s business plans and objectives.
-The position will also be responsible for the division’s overall plans and policies for contracts.
-A principal responsibility will be to ensure the company’s best interests are protected through quality of contract management throughout the organization, including processes and analysis to support business decisions and providing informative reports to the entire senior management team.

Essential Job Functions:
25% - Provide direction and oversight for the Contracts discipline.
20% - Interact with senior leadership and others concerning matters of significance to the organization.
10% - Establish contracts policies and recommends modifications to organization-wide policies and practices.
10% - Personally engage to ensure solid program-level contractual performance. This includes ensuring timely and accurate reporting to customers.
10% - Take initiative with ideas and actively help lead the company regarding strategic and tactical management issues.
10% - Participate in strategy development to maximize the company’s win strategy on proposals.
5% - Participate with the General Manager and the senior management team in preparing presentations for top executives and customers.
5% - Understand and analyze divisional performance and customer relationships.
5% - Personally engage in establishing new business strategies

Skills:
Experience
-Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the various service and components addenda.
-Experience in the defense industry.
-Hands-on pragmatic approach to business.
-Ability to identify problems, prioritize what needs to be done and stay focused on the priority items to meet the division’s goals.
-Strong conceptual and business analytical skills.
-A good background in corporate contracting with a leading role in developing internal and external working relationships.
-A minimum of 14 years of work experience on a progressive career growth path with time in a management position in the U.S. defense industry.
-Significant experience in rapid growth technology markets with emphasis on the defense industry, both domestic and international.
-Experienced in taking a company forward in a fast growth environment, providing insight for direction and managing change effectively.

-Articulate, persuasive, and able to build confidence with the staff and the executive management team.

-Willing to relocate to the central Florida area with travel as required by the position.

Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline and 14 years of progressive experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-MBA would be desirable.
