What You’ll Do:

Lead others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008).
Identify key stakeholder project objectives and requirements.
Ensure assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
Negotiate regulatory parameters in support of domestic and international projects with local, state, federal and international governmental agencies.
Authorize baseline plans and revisions.
Provide in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
Provide assessment of team performance to appropriate management.
Consult with executive leadership and integrates organizational strategy and company initiatives to develop project deliverables.
Focal point for the company with the customer
Complete programme ownership from award to final delivery for delivery schedule, meeting quality standards and financial controls
Identify and manage program risks, issues and opportunities to the protect or improve the program
Lead internal project teams to execute the program to plan
Coordinate internal activities to ensure all tasks are progressed in line with the program requirements
Coordinate and lead major milestone meetings with the customer (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and compile resulting minutes and action plans
Portray the Customers’ expectations and requirements to the Engineering team to ensure alignment
Provide weekly status updates, milestone schedules and risk analysis summary’s
Communicate program status, on-going financial viability and identification of key issues to senior management
Manage Customer Changes and follow up on change related costs and supporting proposals for both commercial and technical scope of work deviations
Initiate invoicing of project payments and follow-up on payment as required

What You’ll Need:

Qualification in Programme Management or equivalent preferred
Engineering background, ideally within the aerospace industry
Minimum 5 years of applicable experience required (aerospace integration experience desired)
Proficient in all MS Office applications required
Experience in MS Project required
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, sometimes at short notice

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree combined with 15 + years of relevant work experience’ or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
