SMT Process Engineer

Description:
Johnson Service Group is looking for a SMT Process Engineer in the Simsbury, CT area.

Responsibilities
Setup, operation and maintenance of PCBA SMT equipment utilized to support electronic programs.
Develop standard work and manufacturing process documentation defining the operation of the PCBA SMT equipment.
Training of operators to standard work and manufacturing process documentation.
Review and approval of PCBA drawing packages and to ensure manufacturability of new product designs.
Populates product structures and routers in IFS Applications, an ERP system.
Prepares process documentation including standard work packages, and manufacturing instructions and process specifications in a visual format.
Qualifications
AS/BS in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience
SMT Equipment Setup, Operation, and Maintenance
PCBA Test & Inspection equipment experience (Flying Probe, AOI, X-Ray,, etc.)
PCB Assembly, Electro-mechanical Assembly, IPC & J-STD Specification Knowledge
Process Development, Writing Procedures, Working with PCB Contract Manufacturers
Experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing systems or Continuous Improvement and strong problem solving skills
