PDS Tech, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operation in Colorado Springs, CO

Job Description:

• Operates production machinery, sets equipment/machinery to required settings, monitors operation of machinery or equipment, and determines whether materials or products meet standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Setup and Operate multiple CNC Machining Centers simultaneously
• Maintain proper condition of measuring instruments
• Maintain proper cutting conditions on machining centers
• Meet or exceed required output hours
• Meet or exceed Machine Shop FPY requirements
• Meet and sustain Certified Operator requirements
• Identify blueprint and work instruction errors
• Identify opportunities for program and work-holding improvements
• Maintain a clean and hazard free work cell
• Achieve required part cosmetics with manual operations
• Cross-train on different types of machining centers
• Perform all required preventive maintenance in work cell
• Participate in all team stand-ups and uses safe ergonomic practices in performing job
• Participate in EHS risk reduction activities
• May perform other job duties as required and available for overtime as necessary

Skills Required:

• Read and understand English
• Ability to set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines to machine surfaces of metallic and non-metallic work-pieces, according to specifications and tooling instructions, while under the supervision of others
• Ability to detect computer program errors
• Ability to apply basic knowledge of machining methods
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints
• Machine shop problem solving skills
• Machine shop and mechanical knowledge, ability to operate manual machines, and have good mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with precision measuring and fixed gauge equipment (micrometers, calipers, electronic height gauges, etc.)
• Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day
