Fabrication Specialist B

Description:
Responsibilities:

Perform machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
Perform composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
Assemble, repair, modify and install various power plants and drive trains.
Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products.
Prepare test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
Work on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED combined with 1 + year of relevant work experience in the following areas: Aerospace, Fabrication and Manufacturing.
Must be computer literate and able to navigate computer
Mechanically inclined, familiar with many hand and power tools, familiar with measurement tools, and have manufacturing experience.
Selected candidates will be producing airplane parts in a role that can vary from detail parts machining to sub-assemblies to larger assemblies.
