Electronics Engineering Test Technician

PDS Tech is currently seeking an Electronics Engineering Test Technician for our client in Kirkland, WA.
Schedule: MON-THUR 9 hour shifts and a short 4 hour day on FRI. (Start time is flexible)
Type: Contract with potential for Direct placement
Work is onsite so candidates must be LOCAL. 

The Electronics Engineering Test Technician will perform complex technical tasks to assist engineers with electronic systems and technical activities relating to product development.

  • Performs engineering activities such as, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment.
  • Works from knowledge, skills, and abilities to generate conceptual plans based on discussions, notional diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or layouts to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions.
  • Determines methods or actions to remedy complex malfunctions.
  • Design, construct, test and verify test equipment.
Citizenship: US Citizen OR Green Card Holder

Vaccination: None
  • Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology or related field/ equivalent electronics military schooling and experience
  • Demonstrates proficiency (typically 4-6 years as an Electronic Technician)
DS/BG: Drug Screen (Checks for Marijuana) and Background Check.

  • Planning - Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; measures performance against goals; evaluates results.
  • Dealing with ambiguity - Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture; doesn’t have to finish things before moving on; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Electrical/electronic circuit/component knowledge
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer software and operating systems
  • Aerospace equipment test experience, such as DO-160 testing, preferred
Physical Abilities:
  • Manual dexterity
  • Occasionally lift heavy (< 40 lbs.) items
  • Color differentiation
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to high voltage
  • Exposure to LN2
  • Exposure to power tools
  • Exposure to chemicals
  • Moderate noise environment
