JOB TITLE: Aircraft Mechanic
LOCATION: Manassas, VA
PAY RATE: $36/hour

Job Details:
Contract Length: 6 months, with potential for extension or conversion

Relocation: Out-of-state candidates must relocate at their own expense (local candidates preferred).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 36 lbs; standing for extended periods.
Expected Overtime: Possible, depending on project needs.
Travel: None required.
Summary:
Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Saab 340 aircraft.
Support complex modifications, retrofits, and system upgrades per regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with FAA, NASA, and company guidelines for all maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and updates.
Monitor aircraft systems, engines, and components to preempt potential issues.
Collaborate with and support the Lead Technician and team operations.
Provide mentorship to junior technicians as needed.
Coordinate with the parts department for timely procurement of tools and materials.
Adhere to safety protocols and perform final inspections for airworthiness.
Required Skills:
2-5 years of Saab 340 aircraft maintenance and repair experience.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
Strong understanding of Saab 340 systems, engines, and avionics.
Proficiency in maintenance tracking software and diagnostic tools.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in Manassas, VA.
Desired Skills:
GE CT7 General Familiarization Certification.
Flight Safety International Saab 340 Maintenance Certification.
GE Dowty Propeller Field Repairs Certification.
