JOB TITLE: SMT Rework Technician

Summary:
Perform rework on SMT components per Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 quality standards.
Identify common component and soldering defects, and improper use of flux and PCB cleaning.
Modify and repair products following applicable documentation and procedures.
Perform detailed work on component boards, utilizing fine-pitch solder on components.
Utilize Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Orders, and work orders to ensure units meet current specifications.
Remove and replace PTH (through-hole) components and SMT components.
Use standard work documentation, including diagrams, photos, and verbal instructions, to rework product units.
Ensure high-quality workmanship and product functionality.
Work on multiple assignments while recognizing when deviations from accepted practices are necessary.
Maintain regular attendance to ensure quality workflow.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, both verbally and in writing.
Utilize Microsoft Office and other software (Word, Excel, Access) as required.
Assemble and inspect products to ensure quality performance, applying IPC-A-610 standards.
Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work as part of a team in a continuous improvement environment.
Exhibit technical ability in removing and replacing components, including SMT fine-pitch and PTH components.
