PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Drafter 3, in Northridge, CA. Job ID#207213

Job Description: Drafts and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in the field of mechanical engineering. Utilizes computer-aided design software such as, PTC/CREO, Autodesk AutoCad, and Siemens NX. Incorporates redlines and revises drawings utilizing standard engineering drafting practices and PLM. Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
Basic qualifications:* High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of related experience. Will accept a bachelors or higher degree plus at least 2 years of related experience.* Previous work history with mechanical drafting in the Defense Industry* Experience using:o ASME Y14.5 (GD&T)o PTC/CREOo Siemens Teamcenter* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Preferred qualifications:* Experience with envelope drawings as it pertains to CCA design and development.* Familiarity with electro-mechanical components and integration within systems. (motors, sensors, actuators, etcâ€¦)* Experience with cable/harness drawings* Experience with Model Based Definition (MBD) and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI)* Experience with detailed tolerance analyses* A US Gov't Secret clearance* Self-Starter familiar with dynamic work environments.* Experience with additive manufacturing (3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping, etc...).* Experience with Machining (Mill, Lathe, Router, etc...)
