Fly by Wire Control Law Design Engineer 3
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Five (5) ys in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
Unique skills required: This position requires a candidate with work experience in augmented air vehicle control system design, simulation and analysis using state of the art techniques in linear and non-linear modeling and analysis. A Control Law Engineer will: -Establish requirements for control systems functionality, integrity, availability and performance to ensure flight safety and Part 25 certification -Support design and analysis for fly-by-wire primary and automatic flight control laws -Develop, document, and inspect fly-by-wire control law models for the purposes of flight dynamics analysis -Conduct, analyze the results and document simulation laboratory tests of the fly-by-wire primary and automatic flight control laws -Support flight test activities, including validation and verification of control law design troubleshooting/revising control laws as required Qualified Candidates will have experience with augmented airplane control law design, modeling, and analysis along with MATLAB & Simulink fluency The Preferred candidate will have: -Knowledge of stability and control and application of handling qualities criteria to control system design -Experience with 14 CFR Part 25 certification -Use of IBM DOORS -Experience working with ARP4754A, DO-178B -Requirements Development Experience
1. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred
