HR Professional

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an HR Professional in Myerstown, PA.

Job Description: 
  • Provide entry level HR BP support to identified client groups, i.e, Supply Chain, Controlling, Engineering, Process Technology. Support includes talent management, employee relations, training, etc.
  • Responsible for processing all of employee status data changes, including OM changes in the SAP system for the entire Myerstown site.
  • Provide project and administrative support to the Sr. HR Manager and HR BP, i.e., Performance Management, Salary Administration, etc.
  • Coordinate and perform staffing for contingent labor employees in support of all supervisors/shifts (screen candidates, interview, selection, assignment changes, etc.)
  • Conduct contingent labor and new employee day one orientation.
  • Serves as point of contact for the company’s Diversity and Inclusion initiative.
  • Serves as site contact for internal communication.
  • Use personal computer and global HR automated systems to prepare memos, letters, presentation materials, spreadsheets, update org charts, generate reports, verify and update I-9 information, reconcile expense reports, purchase orders and process personnel transactions.
  • Establish and maintain a variety of HR records, i.e., confidential correspondence, internal investigations, etc. Send necessary documents to the Shared Service Center for filing in the employee’s Electronic Personnel File.
  • Coordinate various employee services/initiatives (i.e. Making Science Make Sense, Diversity and Inclusion, Service Award Banquet, Benefit Fairs, etc.)
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Meet internal client’s expectations by providing solid guidance on all HR related issues/topics and to make recommendations in a factual, non-biased manner, communicate in a mature, neutral manner to appropriate parties.
    Provide HR support to Sr. HR manager and HR BP which requires autonomy, confidentiality and personal judgment.
  • Develop personal and profession skills with the goal and expectation to succeed Sr. HR Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree required (in business or HR preferred).
  • At least 3 years of HR experience; in a non-union production facility preferred.
  • Able to deal effectively with ambiguity and change.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have strong personal computer skills, Word, Excel, Powerpoint required.
  • HR systems experience is required, SAP experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and establish a good working relationship with others.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Position requires high degree of accuracy in relaying and maintaining HR information.
  • Ability to handle heavy workload and adjust priorities is required.
  • An overall understanding of plant operations and organization of departments, knowledge of general plant and group policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is preferred.
