Provide the system level documentation and the team will interpret that info into harness designs using Mil Specs, Industry Standards, company Specs and Air Force Tech Orders.
Involve harness design but will eventually transition into providing support to procurement and manufacturing during the various life cycles of the product.
Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs
Analyze results and perform design reviews
Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas)
Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests)
Document processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
Develop basic statements of work
Participate in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection
Analyze functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design


Bachelor's Degree combined with 5 + years experience in an Engineering classification; or Master's Degree combined with 3 + years of relevant work experience in an Engineering classification; or PhD experiene in an Engineering classification. 
experience designing aircraft wire harnesses from Interface Control Documents and top-level system block diagrams
5+ years of experience in an electrical design function
Engineering experience associated with the development, selection, and/or revision of parts, materials, and processes specifications used to make electrical wiring and associated electrical systems
Familiarity with drawing/data systems and configuration management principles and processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience using Mentor Graphics Capital, WIRS, CMPRO, PSDS design software
Experience developing drawings and parts lists in ASME Y14 format
