JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic II

LOCATION: Tulsa, OK

PAY RATE: $25.65 per hour

Summary:

    Assemble and fit detail parts and structures while performing varied drilling and riveting operations to ensure that parts and assemblies meet requirements.

    Rivet structural assemblies and parts using necessary tools (e.g., portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets).

    Demonstrate the ability to remove fasteners without damaging the structure.

    Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations, type, size, and hole pattern for rivets.

    Check all work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

    Maintain and utilize all logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).

    Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.

    Make repairs according to Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO), and perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.

    Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company's 5S Program, and comply with all safety regulations.

    Work effectively with minimal supervision on assigned duties and tasks.

    Support Lean Activities and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skill:

    High School Diploma or GED required.

    Two (2) years of related structural assembly experience.

    Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    Skilled in close-tolerance work and knowledgeable in the use of special tools and equipment.

    Proficient in using mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems involving fractions, decimal fractions, and whole numbers.

    Basic computer skills.

    Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.

    Competence in reading and comprehending basic documents and instructions.

    Strong personal skills, including an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, a professional attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively and meet demanding schedules.

    Demonstrated good housekeeping and safety practices.

    Ability to work with composite resins and materials.

    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Must be able to work any shift.

    Ability to climb ladders, stands, and stairs, and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas.
