Mission Flow Planner

Mission Flow Planner This experienced, hands on Mission Flow Planner will coordinate schedule and execution efforts related to the operational implementation, documentation, modifications management, and issues resolution of the Space Flight System (Spaceship and/or Mothership vehicles). Qualified candidates should have a strong background in aerospace operational management, with experience leading and managing complex system development or operations. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to balance technical knowledge and business acumen to manage these operations. In these roles the person in this position may be asked to provide day to day direction to manufacturing and operations personnel.

Responsibilities

    Manage and integrate work and processes associated with Space Flight System (Spaceship/Mothership) requirements and objectives, utilizing the skills and technical abilities of the full team into a master schedule. Establish and maintain schedule plans that achieve Spaceship and/or Mothership program objectives including work break down of tasks, supports the integrated master schedule, and associated resource and staffing in line with program and company financial objectives. Work closely with leadership and program management to continuously improve systems, processes, and operations for schedule execution. Ensure all customer product/servicing requirements are met. Perform special studies as appropriate with intent to improve operational schedule efficiency and/or earned value. Coordinate and/or integrate with systems engineers and counterpart TSC designers on modifications and/or design change proposals for SS2 and/or WK2 systems into the integrated master schedule.

What you bring

    Bachelor's degree, with 7+ years relevant industry experience 5+ Years of successful aerospace project management experience, managing complex programs. Working knowledge of aircraft and space systems and familiarity with relevant aerospace standards (FAA, FAA AST etc.). Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail. Ground and flight testing experience of new aviation/aerospace systems is desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong IT skills, including Excel and/or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience is desirable.
