Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer - 100% REMOTE

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Senior Engineer to lead development, research, and analysis of mechanical systems for advanced aircraft. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
• Own the design and analysis of the mechanical systems, mechanisms and components on a large cargo experimental or test aircraft.
• Manage the functional and physical interfaces between the routing of hydraulic system and the vehicle.
• Communicate information about design, requirements, and performance of the applicable systems between the design team, management, customer, subcontractors, and vendors.

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or related STEM discipline) plus 7+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of technical education and experience).
• Demonstrated experience in the design and analysis of mechanical systems, mechanisms and components on a large cargo experimental or test aircraft.
• Experience with CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred).
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person.

Desired Requirements
• Experience with prelim design of mechanical systems and components.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision on these tasks.
• Experience designing and analyzing complex mechanisms.
• Experience with system engineering processes or project management, including but not limited to requirements development, system safety analysis, and reliability analysis.
• Full time/Part time: Full-time

• Will the contractor be expected to travel? If yes, how often and where: Yes. DC Area, every 3 months.
