What You’ll Do:

Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
Support test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
Works under general supervision.
Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the airframe design.
Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural design, characteristics and performance.
Develop test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify airframe meets requirements and specifications.
Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Investigate emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements.

What You’ll Need:

Minimum of five (5) years of structural analysis engineering experience.
Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance (post start).
Must be local candidate that can sit onsite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/experience):
Experience performing analysis utilizing closed form classical methods and finite element analysis (FEA) on airframes.
Familiarization with Boeing tools i.e.: IAS, CSW, GKJoint, IDTAS, DTANAL, LifeWorks, JOLT, etc
Experience with common FEM tools such as NASTRAN/Patran and ABAQUS .

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry combined with 5 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
