Software Engineer 1&2

Description:
SSE is looking for Software Engineers, Levels 1&2 to fill roles in St. Louis, MO.

FULL BENEFITS: includes 12 PAID HOLIDAYS & 13 PTO DAYS per year (NO WAIT PERIOD), 401k match.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Gathers information to support software project management. Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics. Supports software research and development projects. Troubleshoots basic software issues. Works under close supervision.

• System & software requirements analysis and development
• System test requirements analysis and development interface design
• Test software development/coding
• Hardware/software integration
• System selloff/verification
• Research of technologies for potential application to company business needs
• Support of problem resolution associated with fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

Preferred, Skills and Experience:
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
• Experience with, software development and simulation tools (e.g. editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulators, and configuration and requirement management tools), as well as various software languages (C++, C#, etc.).
• This position requires the ability to work within a fast paced team environment.
• Strong communication skills are essential as frequent contact with Program Management, internal and external customer representatives, and other development teams and disciplines is required.
• This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
“This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.” US Citizen required.

Education:
• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics is required.
