Software Engineer

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a contract/remote opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for a software engineer experienced in modern enterprise-class languages and development platforms, with a strong emphasis on JavaScript/Node. Deeply involved in design, implementation, test and deployment of web applications. Engineer is responsible creating a customer facing product, testing artifacts, develop tooling and must have communication skills needed to ensure product success as per requirements.

Software Engineers install and configure packaged software. Systems Engineer / System Analysts design and manage projects through Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Systems Analysts design, and help write, build, test, and implement the software code that enables computer systems to perform specific tasks.
Full lifecycle application development
Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
Software modeling and simulation
Front end graphical user interface design
Software testing and quality assurance
Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
Support, maintain and document software functionality
Integrate software with existing systems
Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
Maintain standards compliance
Implement localization or globalization of software.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Candidate must have ability to test and learn newer technologies and concepts on the job related to best practices and operational excellence.
-5-10 years of software development experience, with a strong focus on application development.
-5+ years of Node.JS Express, Vue.JS, ES 6 experience at least.
-Have previous involvement in building medium to large-scale, "mission critical" "high availability" production systems that directly support essential business, and technical, or operational functions.
-Demonstrable excellent design skills and the related strengths in clearly articulating difficult technical concepts and information
- Can critically evaluate code as a method of learning, and knows when and how to safely refactor code/artifacts

Nice to Have:
- Experience developing systems with enterprise, commercial relational databases, including strong working knowledge of SQL and modern ORM tools is a plus
- Candidates capable of demonstrating experience in one or more of the following areas strongly preferred: release management of enterprise-class system code and artifacts, data and schema modeling, user interface development

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS or MS or higher in Computer Science, Software or other Engineering or related field required
