Electrical Engineer III

Description:
We are currently seeking exceptional candidates who wish to be a part of the commercial space revolution. The position we are seeking is for an Electrical Engineer III.

Our fun, fast-paced and collaborative team designs, builds, and flies a state of the art Cargo System, an ambitious flagship program to create our Nation's only commercially reusable space plane. With your help, we will conduct many safe and successful missions over the next decade to deliver critical cargo to and from the International Space Station. These flights for NASA will enable us to build an unprecedented commercial space transportation network, which provides affordable, cutting-edge orbital capability and return to Earth services onto runways around the globe. The future of space transportation is now.
The Electrical Engineer III will be responsible for planning and execution of activities, development of test documentation (test plans, procedures, scripts and reports etc.), supporting test reviews, executing various test activities, supporting anomaly resolution, test data analysis and generation of test reports in conjunction with the other AS&C groups in order to successfully verify the Electrical System and its interfaces with other systems.

Must-haves:
*Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
*Electrical Power System hardware/software test experience
*Excellent communication skills required
*Excellent written skills required
*Excellent attention to detail
*Knowledgeable in the use of various electronic systems analysis and test equipment. Experience with testing, verification and validation
*Able to correctly read and understand electronic drawings/schematics and other technical engineering or documentation (e.g. Specs, ICDs, Users Guides etc.)
*Ability to decompose large complicated problems into manageable pieces, understand problems from different points of view, and explain issues/solutions to other engineers and management
*The candidate must be comfortable interacting with and coordinating with subject matter experts whose depth of knowledge may exceed their own while still providing a perspective that comes with breadth of knowledge

Preferred:
*Experience with data acquisition, sensors and recording systems
*Experience working with integrated product teams
*Experience with modeling electronic circuit (Spice)
*Experience with requirements management and verification
*Experience working with DOORS or other verification tool
*Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
*Experience working with NASA; human spaceflight program experience is a bonus
*Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
*Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
*Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
*Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
*Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with emphasizes in rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities
*Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams
