Electrical Engineer

Description:
An Electrical Engineer job in Logan, UT is currently accepting applications. This is a contract position with our key manufacturing client. In this role, you will be responsible to for drive design and developmental activities from initial concept through production. To be considered you will have 7+ years of relevant experience with board design and wire schematics utilizing Altium software coming from the aerospace industry.

Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering teams in the electrical design of aerospace battery propulsion systems.
* Serve as a senior subject matter expert and direct the planning, design, and modification of individual electrical engineering projects.
* Develop certifiable advanced power management, protection, and distribution components
* Generate and review system level and board level schematics.
* Evaluate, analyze, and select electric components.
* Generate electrical and control model of battery systems.
* Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize processes.
* Provide analytical support and direction for the Electrical Engineering team, and mentor junior members.
* Investigate, process, monitor and make recommendations for within the scope of various projects.
* Assists with electrical engineering assignments and objectives involving conventional types of plans and specifications.
* Designs power distribution, lighting, communications and controls systems.
* Provides technical staff assistance to the Electrical Engineering team.

Electrical Engineer Job Qualifications:
* BS in Electrical Engineering required.
* 5+ years of engineering experience required
* Background with board design and wire schematics
* Experience with Altium design software
* Strong understanding of industry standards, contracts and protocols.
* Understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles and batteries.
* Strong understanding of automotive drivelines and vehicle architectures.
* Technical capacity in terms of designing battery cells, BMS and other required components.
* Electromagnetic Engineering experience
* High voltage power systems integration experience
* Experience with direct sourcing converters
