Principal Software Engineer (TCAS/ACAS)

Description:
1. Can you describe your experience with embedded C++ development, particularly in systems like TCAS, ACAS, or ADS-B? (see below REQUIRED EXPERIENCE)
2. What is your experience with real-time embedded software engineering and standards such as ARINC 429, ARINC 735, and RTCA DO-178C?

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications/operating systems. Also, coordinates work teams. Provides technical leadership to project team members. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Technical lead for designing, developing, and integrating the TXD software that interfaces with the RF hardware.
• Provide support for the software that interfaces with the RF hardware on legacy TCAS products such as TPA-100 and AESU.

• Certification
• Test
• Customer Support
• Ability to code in multiple languages
• Analytical skills & software development skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Must have spent 5+ years in embedded C++ development of one of the following systems:
• TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System)
• ACAS (Airborne Collision Avoidance System)
• ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast)
• Extensive Transponder experience
