Assembly & Integration Engineer – Design the Systems That Bring Aircraft to Life
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76119 Job Type: Full-Time | Consultant (6 Months) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $40.00 – $75.00 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an Assembly and Integration Engineer to support advanced aircraft system installations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the integrity, routing, and configuration of critical aircraft systems—ensuring designs are optimized for build, certification, and long-term performance.

What You’ll Do Day to Day
As an Assembly and Integration Engineer, you will support system installation design and integration across multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include:
Creating and refining 3D models for wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical equipment, bonding, and supports
Designing and integrating wiring systems using CATIA V5, V6, or preferably 3DX
Owning aircraft system installation configuration integrity, including routing paths, penetrations, and passthroughs
Producing and optimizing 3D layouts to support build efficiency and sourcing strategies
Coordinating system provisioning and interface requirements with Airframe and Systems Design IPTs
Establishing and enforcing installation requirements such as system separation and minimum clearances
Ensuring compliance with DMU and 3D modeling standards
Developing, testing, and documenting new procedures for relational design and model-based definition in 3DX
Overseeing preparation, release, and revision of 3D installation datasets
Coordinating dataset approvals with Design IPTs and Certification Authorities
Tracking progress and reporting status to the AIT Leader
Note: Current needs include 1 harness router and 1 tube router.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or other Engineering discipline, Math, or Physics
Minimum of 2 years of systems installation design experience
Working knowledge of electrical, fluid, and mechanical routing requirements and installation hardware
Proficiency in 3D modeling using CATIA V5, CATIA V6, or 3DX
Basic understanding of Digital Mock-Up (DMU) applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in conveyance systems routing and wire harness design
Experience with PLM, design, scheduling, and reporting tools
Proven self-starter with strong foresight and problem-solving abilities
Experience working in fast-paced, integrated product team environments

Pay Details: $40.00 to $75.00 per hour
