As a Final Line Mechanic I, you'll work hands-on with cutting-edge aviation technology, performing critical assembly and installation tasks that ensure aircraft's safe and efficient performance. What You'll Do:
Assemble and Install: Aircraft structure parts, control cables, landing gear, engines, and more.
Troubleshoot and Repair: Remove and replace components, and fit system lines for basic repairs.
Ensure Quality: Perform detailed checks and rework to meet strict aviation standards.
Work Efficiently: Use specialized tools (e.g., permaswage pumps, wrenches, cutting tools) to complete installations and repairs with precision.
Maintain Records: Keep detailed logs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1 year in aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.). An A&P license may offset the experience requirement.
Preferred: Familiarity with Solumina and Smarteam.
Your Day-to-Day:
Conduct system installations and adjustments for components like control cables, landing gear, and valves.
Ensure installations meet strict conformance standards with leak-free systems.
Maintain an organized work area while following all safety regulations and company protocols (FOD and 5S).
Support aircraft certification and testing, which may include flight tests.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Proficiency in basic mechanical tasks such as drilling, reaming, and fitting parts.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in confined spaces or on ladders and stairs.
Pay Details: $25.66 per hour
