The Mopar Engineer will lead the Design, Development, and Release of new hard trim features and accessories for our client vehicle customers. The Mopar Accessories Team creates upfit and aftermarket products for all our client's vehicle brands and models, including Jeep, RAM, Dodge, Chrysler and more. This is an exciting role in need of someone with a diverse set of interests and skills. 




Mopar has a broad portfolio of future products planned which will need a good engineer with a knowledge of vehicle design, materials and processes. These products include Special Model Badging. We are looking for an Engineer to join our team to help develop the next generation of vehicle accessories.




Responsibilities:

Working with brand planning and strategy teams on new feature ideas.
Initial design and feasibility studies with Interior Product teams, Vehicle Integration, and Product Design Office.
Create Source Package documents.
Support Mopar Purchasing to review technical submissions from suppliers and select a supplier.
Support component supplier development activities as needed.
Lead vehicle test and validation based on vehicle and component DVP validation.
Host weekly engineering development meetings with suppliers and Mopar team members.
Track and manage suspension kit timing for on-time launch.
Manage and track releasing and changes of vehicle interior systems and body components.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of plastic injection molded parts – part design, manufacturing process, and material selection is a plus.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree required.
