Sr. Design Engineer - STC/Modifications - 100% ONSITE

Description:
The Senior Design Engineer is engaged in the design of aircraft structural and system modifications and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) using 3D CAD/CATIA V5 software

Experience - Includes years of experience, industry, product, military, etc
• 10-20 years of experience with aerospace/aircraft structure & system modifications, Supplemental Type Certificate (STC experience is a MUST). Systems: Liquid cooling, forced air cooling, or electrical
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Catia V5 design software

Education / Certifications
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field

Competencies - List skills, knowledge and attributes necessary
• Thorough understanding and demonstration of engineering concepts and principles
• Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in an evolving, fast paced environment
• Broad experience with typical aircraft materials (MMPDS), hardware (MS, NAS, AN, bolts, rivets, screws, nuts, bushings, etc.), aluminum & steel sheet metal, fiberglass, honeycomb panels, machined parts & welding
• Thorough understanding of airframe structures, systems, manufacturing and assembly procedures
• Strong understanding of aircraft repair procedures and structural analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in MS Office Suite for report writing and analysis preparation
• Understanding of FAA rules and regulations
• Experience creating, maintaining and communicating schedules & completing
