Summary:
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies, minimizing schedule impact. Implement process changes to reduce cost while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Perform avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting under supervision.
Install and test electrical/avionics components per Engineering specifications, ensuring defect-free systems.
Assist in ensuring quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshooting systems for timely repairs.
Demonstrate effective repair techniques (e.g., splicing, soldering) to ensure installations meet conformity.
Comply with engineering changes and modifications.
Set up and operate test equipment, conducting functional and operational tests.
Document all work performed on aircraft for inspection readiness.
Maintain and test electronic systems, components, and test equipment.
Adhere to the FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and safety regulations.
May assist with flight tests during aircraft certification and final phase testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of related work experience or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
