Location: Atlanta, GA | Pay Rate: $52/hour | Schedule: Mon-Fri / 8am - 5pm (Hybrid)

Role Summary & Impact:
As a Fluidics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of fluidic systems within our foodservice and beverage units. Your expertise in mechanical systems design, paired with a deep understanding of customer needs, will drive the creation of products that are not only reliable but also exceed market expectations. Working within a stage-gate process, you’ll ensure that our products meet high standards of quality, functionality, and manufacturability, all while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
 
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across functions (software, electrical, and non-technical teams) to understand customer needs and translate them into innovative product designs.
• Design and refine fluidic and mechanical systems for foodservice and beverage units, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and reliability.
• Utilize your expertise in injection-molded and sheet metal part design to create robust solutions.
• Apply your skills in 3D CAD (preferably CREO) and change management tools (Windchill) for product design and documentation.
• Lead the creation of test plans, execute tests, and analyze data to validate designs, ensuring alignment with reliability and quality goals.
• Apply formal problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, and DMAIC to address technical challenges and continuously improve products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Aerospace Engineering (BSAeroE), Biomedical Engineering (BSBME), or Mechatronics Engineering (BSMechatronics) from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Solid understanding of injection-molded and sheet metal part design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CREO preferred) and change management software (Windchill preferred).
• Strong foundation in quality planning and design for reliability, including DFMEA, test planning, test execution, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Competence in gathering user requirements and designing products that meet both specifications and manufacturability goals.
• Experience in formal problem-solving tools like 8D, A3, or DMAIC.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the foodservice or beverage industries.
• Familiarity with fluid dynamics, thermal management, or other related engineering fields.
• Advanced proficiency in CREO or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of the stage-gate process for product development.

Pay Details: $52.00 per hour
