Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
Qualify Question:
o What experience do you have with Statistical Process Controls, can you provide a specific example of how you have used SPC in your current or previous roles?
o In a few words, describe both your learning style (how do you onboard) and your working style.
o Do you have experience with glass machining, precision assembly methods, electronics testing, or environmental testing? If so, briefly explain.
o What is your experience with creating detailed process documentation, change control and tracking?

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production.
• Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.
• Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
• Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
• Assist development of new products.
• Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
• Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
• Test products & software

MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 5+ years experience

WE VALUE:
• Product or process engineering experience.
• Product assembly and test experience.
• Experience with optics, sensors, and/or electronic assemblies.
• Experience with product yield management and improvement.
