PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a User Experience Specialist in Seattle, WA.

Description:
Partners with project teams to create effective, usable and satisfying user experiences with information technology.
Oversees user-centered design activities that actively involve users throughout all phases of a project to ensure product usability.
Guides or conducts user research through interviews, field studies and surveys.
Oversees the definition of complex user requirements and usability goals.
Oversees the creation of user interaction design alternatives for complex requirements and conveys designs by building prototypes.
Leads or conducts usability tests, heuristic evaluations or other reviews to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the designs.
Leads or conducts the diagnosis and analysis of complex usability issues and refines designs or recommends changes.
Who You Are
You are an experienced, UX-focused front-end UI coder with an understanding of the design-thinking process and a keen eye for user-centered design.
As a proven collaborator, you work well within the UX Team to assist in creation of feature development for web and mobile products.
Using modern front-end libraries such as Angular, React or Swift you create and maintain clean and efficient coded prototypes, reusable UI components, and help generate UI requirements using software development best-practices.
You have experience working in various types of product development environments such as Agile and Lean, and know the strategies and practices necessary for organizing and developing responsive web and mobile product solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Act as an ambassador between design and development, using the appropriate communication language
Build coded front-end UI prototypes using current design standards
Work with product owner to create UI requirements based on business, technical and user needs
Help determine technical feasibility of initial designs Participate in user testing sessions
Work with development team to ensure UI components are reusable, and assist in visual testing efforts to ensure design quality is maintained
Collaborate with design team to support and contribute to UX design standards

Required qualifications:
Minimum 5-year combination of responsive and mobile front-end design and development experience
Experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Strong technical and design communication skills
Effective time-management
Understand Apple’s design guidelines and best practices for iOS and iPadOS
Understand Google’s Material Design guidelines and best practices for web applications
Candidate can work hybrid or remote, but needs to be located in Seattle area.
Relocation reimbursement is not included for this role.
Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
