MRO Design Engineer - Reverse Engineering - 100% ONSITE

Position Summary:

This engineering role is an extended temporary position that will last for a period of months – perhaps as little as four months and as many as 12 months. At the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Engineer provides technical support for all aspects of the company’s MRO (helicopter repair) process. This includes creating the technical foundation needed for MRO to succeed, acting as a liaison to meet the technical needs of production, developing solutions to material and process issues, and developing production controls. In this role, the Engineer will work with the FAA and the company’s Designated Engineering Representative (DER) on an ongoing project. The successful candidate will have experience with MRO and reverse engineering of parts.



This contingent position will be paid by the hour. Hourly rate is dependant on experience, background and knowledge. There are no additional benefits or compensation. The job is on-site, and the expectation is 30 to 40 hours per week.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct analysis and reverse engineering of customer parts
Design and develop repair schemes and repair processes for FAA-DER approval
Development and implementation of CAD data to support repair development
Compile certification, engineering and compliance documents
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to read, create and interpret technical drawings
Working Knowledge of Composite and Metal bond processes
Knowledge of CATIA V5 programs
Proficient in use CAD software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks
Must be capable of multi-tasking and have the drive to get things done on schedule
Must be well organized and detail oriented
Good communication skills – written and verbal
High level of reliability and dependability
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc …)


Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
At least 5 years of relevant aerospace MRO experience
