Description:
We have an Excellent Contract position for an IT Specialist and Asset Management to join a leading Company located in the Rancho Cordova, CA area.

IT Specialist supporting hardware and software asset management. Review business requirements and creation of IT software and hardware requisition requests for fulfillment by Supply Chain. Work with business stakeholders to review and appropriately disposition receipt of IT assets from suppliers. Provide oversight, reporting, and metrics in support of the IT Asset Management organization. Coordinate with Supply Chain to track requisitions, purchase orders, and invoicing in support of IT software and hardware

Job Responsibilities:
Manage renewals and licensing true-ups;
Review business justifications on software purchases to determine cost-effective solutions including utilizing existing licensing;
Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings;
Administer software audits initiated by software publishers as well as internally initiated software audits;
Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration;
Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.
Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
Generate Purchase Requisitions and receive invoices in the Oracle ERP system.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Knowledge in Oracle iProcurement tool suite functionality
General knowledge of ServiceNow Ticket management system
General accounting knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance or a related field.
