It is highly repetitive production work that requires precision and a good eye for detail.
CORE TASKS:
Sewing machine setup (changing thread, bobbins, and needles as needed)
Needle prepping and joining
Creating and cutting patterns
Inspecting product for defects, damage, or stains
marking products, work pieces, or equipment with identifying information
Comparing physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards
Interpreting cover patterns to perform sewing functions
Cut leather and fabric as needed using patterns
Prepare sewing pieces
Sew leather and fabric dress coves with very high precision and very high quality expectations
Operator needs to be able to perform top stitch (single and double) on leather and fabric
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
