PDS Tech Commercial Inc, is seeking candidates for an Upholstery Technician (Cut & Sew) in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Job Title: Upholstery Technician (Cut & Sew)
Job Type: Full time; Contract (6 months)
Location: Winston Salem, NC 27105
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $23.14/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION
The candidate should be able to perform various Upholstery activities like: Remove, install, Rework, Adjust leather or fabric covers on all the different components from the seats/Divans.

The experience could be relative from any of the following industries (automotive, aerospace, boating, or similar)
Upholsterers are responsible for fabricating custom designs made out of fabric and other materials.
The work involves cutting, measuring, and sewing.
Skilled at reading patterns and working with industrial sewing machines and other equipment such as grommet machines, heat seal machines, and more.

It is highly repetitive production work that requires precision and a good eye for detail.
CORE TASKS:
Sewing machine setup (changing thread, bobbins, and needles as needed)
Needle prepping and joining
Creating and cutting patterns
Inspecting product for defects, damage, or stains
marking products, work pieces, or equipment with identifying information
Comparing physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards
Interpreting cover patterns to perform sewing functions
Cut leather and fabric as needed using patterns
Prepare sewing pieces
Sew leather and fabric dress coves with very high precision and very high quality expectations
Operator needs to be able to perform top stitch (single and double) on leather and fabric
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Details: $23.14 per hour
