PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a TECHNICAL WRITER for an Aerospace Company in Lenexa, KS:

• Contract: 6 Months

• Salary: $35.00 - $39.24/Hour

• Location: Lenexa, KS - 100% onsite

• Status required: US Citizenship or Green Card Holder.

If you have +4 years of experience working with Engineers to improve User Interface (UI) writing technical manuals, this is the perfect fit for you!

Supports and performs planning, design, development, illustration, publication, and distribution of basic technical publications including technical procedures and manuals (including re-visioning services). Supports balloting process including rework cycles and coordinating with writing team members through final publication of documents onto the web.

Responsibilities:
• Frequent interface with various engineering functions, technical disciplines and end-users to document standard operating procedures.
• Develop technical materials for use in training, operation and system maintenance of Customer equipment using established Customer standards and guidelines.
• Self-directed and also provides guidance to team members on development of multiple publication products.
• Accountability for the cost, quality and timely delivery of all work assignments.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience writing technical manuals in a military or civilian environment.
• Understand and comprehend system operation from typical engineering documentation (schematics, mechanical drawings, software specifications, hardware interface specifications, and equipment specifications).
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
• Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
• Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software.
• Knowledge using MS Office programs such as: Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
• Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
