DIRECT HIRE! Are you an Industrial Process Engineer looking for a new opportunity? Come and join a fantastic leading company located in the Van Nuys, CA surrounding area.

The Repair Process Engineer is responsible for new repair capabilities and technical development
Responsible for the calibration program
Responsible for the review and maintenance of technical documentation through the shop
Leads the preparation of repair capabilities for Entry Into Service of new programs/products
Develops specific tools & test benches
Leads continuous improvement efforts
New repair capabilities, technical development
Duplication or entry into service
Manages internal and external calibration by scheduling and performing necessary calibration of tools and gauges
Review the technical documents (CMM, SB, SiL, FP) for new repair capabilities, entry into service of a new program, transfer of an OEM repair station to the ZS network, regular updates
Define and list specific tools, test benches, and general facility installations to implement in the repair station (approved by CapEx)
Follow up on the purchase of test and repair equipment and install them in the workshop
Record, approve and justify equivalences as required for new equipment
Design new specific tools and test benches if necessary, and coordinate with the OEM for review of design and approval of equivalency
Design and write internal repair instructions and coordinate with the OEM for approval
Focus on composite repairs: be an integral part of the inspection process, prepare disposition of the parts, review available repair documentation and prepare and approve additional technical documentation as required
Manage the training for technicians in coordination with the OEM
Development of specific tools & test benches
Continuous improvement (ergonomics, new specific tools)
Processes harmonization
Prepare and release mechanical and/or electrical drawings to design new specific tools and/or test benches and/or fixtures in accordance with the OEM specifications to improve ergonomics and/or to reduce the time spent on some specific repair process

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Engineering degree (Bachelor of Science and above) from renowned University or College; Major in Manufacturing or Quality or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum three (3) years of experience in MRO environment or test bench design or process improvement

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Oxygen systems or pneumatic systems is a plus
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data (blueprints, drawings, bill of materials)
Ability to design simple mechanical fixtures or specific tools for composite repairs or for the repair/disassembly/assembly of mechanical parts
Ability to produce corresponding drawings on computer-aided software for the manufacturing
Ability to formalize repair and work processes and write procedures for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
