Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:

This position is in Oldsmar FL and is part of the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) organization. Primary job responsibility is to drive continuous improvement initiatives for the team, implement new processes to help our engineers and inspectors perform their jobs more efficiently while upholding our commitment to delivering quality products to our customers. As the individual in this position progresses there is an opportunity to take on engineering responsibilities.

Successful candidates will need to manage a list of projects, status action items and work collaboratively with others to ensure project milestones are met. They will also analyze data, apply a range of analytical tools, synthesize insights, and support the development of solutions. This individual may also help process work in and out of the engineer's queues, assist with inspections, paperwork, reporting, etc.
This position has a highly desirable flexible 4x10 work schedule.

KEY SKILLS:

Experience leading continuous process improvement teams or Lean initiatives
Exposure to advanced data analytics software/systems and/or ability to write macros/code (Tableau, Alteryx, VBA, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry specifications
Knowledge of MRP and MES systems (SAP, Solumina or other)
Quality, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors' degree or equivalent from an accredited college in Engineering or related technical discipline
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to make decisions, set priorities and provide direction in a dynamic business environment
Desire to lead projects and informal teams
Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships
Experience multi-tasking while working challenging projects from start to finish
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Desired skills
