Description:
We have an Excellent Contract position for a Senior Structures and Dynamics Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Canoga Park, CA area.

Job Responsibilities:
Assist other analysts and designers engaged with the development and production of new and existing liquid rocket engines, propulsion system components, and secondary structure.
Perform structural and dynamics analyses utilizing class hand-calculation methods and finite element models.
Construct and solve static and dynamic finite element models using Nastran.
Participate in dynamic test planning and execution.
Correlate structural models to test results.
Interpret analytical results, assess design margins and prepare technical reports

Basic Hiring Criteria:
This position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics and at least 5 years of engineering experience with structural analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have experience using Nastran for Structural and Dynamic Analysis.
Demonstrated experience performing linear, non-linear, and structures and dynamics analyses supporting design, development, and production qualification of new or updated products is required.
Proficiency using finite element analysis tools such as Nastran is required.
Knowledge and experience with aerospace product development efforts are desired.
Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
Active U.S. Security Clearance is desirable, but not required.
Master’s degree preferred.
