Structural Analyst

Description:
Our Client is seeking a structural analyst responsible for analysis and testing of subsystem structural components using finite element computer codes and classical analysis methods.
Determine most efficient, yet sufficiently thorough method of solving problems.
Utilize knowledge of aerospace materials, structural testing, and basic structural analysis concepts such as strength of materials, stress analysis, and structural dynamics.
Develop finite element models of components and assemblies using CREO, PATRAN, FEMAP, and NASTRAN software.
Perform design factor of safety and margin of safety analysis using strength of materials theory and classical methods.
Process the models to obtain static and dynamic responses to launch, test, and ground handling environments, including definition of test requirements, design of test configuration, administration of tests, and writing test reports.
Ensure all inputs are understood and clearly communicate analysis outputs through standardized report formats.
Perform other duties as required.

Familiarity with advanced composite materials and spacecraft structures is preferred.
Good verbal and written communication, organization and leadership skills are essential.
Position Requirements: Minimum skills are those required to perform the essential functions of the job. Related work experience is a minimum of five (5) years with a B.S. degree or three (3) with a M.S degree.
Minimum BSME, BSCE or related field required.
Experience with CAD Design and Finite Element Analysis software is required.


Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
