Electro-Mechanical Assembler-2nd & 3rd shift

Electro-Mechanical Assembler: Possesses knowledge of Electrical Theory and usage of N.E.C. in the assembly of machines with AC and DC circuits using engineering drawings. Requires knowledge of mechanical assembly to assemble, rebuild, and repair machinery. Also requires the ability to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to assist in the assembly of machines and components. Assists R&D technicians and engineering in developing new equipment. Must be a team player who is quality oriented. Must have the ability to work unsupervised, provide training and cross-training to employees. Position requires a quality conscious, industrious individual who pays attention to detail. Ability to coordinate with engineering, and make changes as required to update print package. Diagnoses malfunctioning electrical and mechanical components using test equipment, computer, and engineering drawings. Test run machines to ensure proper operation of components such as photo-eyes, limit switches and solenoid valves. Ensures proper operation and alignment of mechanical components such as belts, air cylinders, indexing units, and drums. Tests for proper sequencing of machine operations.  Connects components and routes wires between individual components, using connectors, terminals, soldering and other wiring procedures. Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and engineering drawings using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators and thickness gauges.

2nd shift 2:25pm to 12:55pm Monday-Thursday
3rd Shift 9:30pm to 8:00am  Monday-Thursday
This position requires competency in specific mechanical and electrical assemblies with an associate's degree in electro-mechanical technology or a Maintenance Certificate and/or equivalent experience or training. Must be able to perform all primary duties in the Mechanical Assembler - B and Electrician - Class B positions. Must be computer literate and capable of reading engineering drawings. Set up and operate a variety of power tools such as drill press, band saw and stud welder. Must have tools required to perform daily routine.
