What You’ll Do:

Participate in electrical requirements analysis and definition, functional analysis, performance analysis (e.g. timing, power, etc.), design, integration and verification of electrical components, equipment and systems.
Plan and lead electrical engineering root cause analysis as well as develops and presents electrical requirements and results to internal management and our customers.

What You’ll Need:

Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Proven knowledge of electrical engineering processes and design tools
Circuit Design expertise
Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
Power systems / Module design.  Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
Feedback / Control systems experience
Power System architecture and grounding
Isolated Switching Converters
Transmission Line Effects in power systems
EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc)
Magnetics Design and High Speed Design experience are desirable
Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
Ability to travel as needed
Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task
Keeps abreast of technology trends
Effectively handle complex assignments independently or in multiple work groups
Ability to sell concepts and ideas to project leaders, program manager and customers
Qualifications Preferred:
Schematic capture (Mentor Graphics or similar electronic design tools)
Embedded firmware (C, C++)
FPGA Design - VHDL (Xilinx)
Sensor control & management
Familiarity with Radio frequency (RF) communications systems
Familiarity with Fiber Optic Communications Systems
Familiarity with Power supply and high voltage direct current (DC) design, development, qualification, and testing  
Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field combined with 5 + years of relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree combined with 3 + years of relevant work experience.
