Sr. Stress Engineer with DaDT analysis experience
San Diego, CA
HYBRID 2/3 - (NOT full remote – need to show up for work)
Monday Tuesday ON SITE, other days from home.
We work a hybrid schedule 9/80.
A schedule and the expectation is the individual will do the same.
Week 1: Monday and Tuesday in the office, Wednesday and Thursday WFH, Friday Off.
Week 2: Monday and Tuesday in the office, Wednesday – Friday WFH.
1 year contract
9/80 week, Day Shift
1 year CONTRACT
US Citizen required
No secret needed day one but must be Clearable (Willing and able to get one)
PASS Drug Test & Background Check

Minimum Education and Years:
Bachelor in STEM with 8-12 yrs experience, including background in Aerospace structural analysis
Or Masters in STEM w 6-10 yrs exp

Basic Qualifications (required):
- Competency with FEMAP and NASTRAN pre/post processing
- Significant experience with Fatigue/Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis

Preferred Qualifications (desired):
- Experience with the following tools: jFAMS, FASTRAN, DBI/SST, Catia V5, and Knotch
- Experience with the following:
o Navy fatigue/DaDT methods and report writing,
o Regression analysis techniques to develop load transfer functions,
o Linear elastic fracture mechanics,
o Strain-life fatigue analysis methodology

Generic Job Description:
 Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.
 Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling.
 Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis.
 Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications.
