Engineer the Future: ASIC Engineer (Aerospace) – $93–$121/hr | Baltimore, MD 
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking top-tier ASIC engineering talent to support cutting-edge aerospace innovations.

Join the engineering team shaping the future of aerospace technology. As an ASIC Engineer working on-site in Baltimore, MD, you will play a vital role in validating high-speed ASICs that power next-generation aviation systems. This is a full-time, 6-month consulting role offering premium hourly compensation, a dynamic first-shift schedule, and the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects with national impact.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.  

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:

• Validate ASIC performance in a hands-on lab environment using a Stratix 10 FPGA.

• Utilize Matlab scripting and VHDL to command and control test fixtures.

• Operate and interpret results from oscilloscopes, signal generators, and network analyzers.

• Troubleshoot discrepancies between test results and technical documentation.

• Deliver clear technical reports and status updates to the Integration & Test (I&T) Lead.

• Modify or update FPGA firmware as required.

What You Bring to the Team:

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering + 8+ years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in MATLAB scripting for ASIC/device testing

• Experience with VHDL and FPGA development

• Familiarity with SerDes or other high-speed interfaces

• Strong hands-on experience with standard test lab equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with High-Speed ADCs and Direct RF sampled systems
