Take Your Career to New Heights: Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician (Contract) – Columbus, MS 

Payrate: $40 - $42/hour depending on experience

About the Role 

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician to join our high-performing team in Columbus, Mississippi. In this pivotal role, you’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge rotorcraft, specializing in the fabrication, installation, and repair of complex electrical and electronic systems on military and commercial helicopters. 

This is a contract position with flexible duration, ideal for seasoned technicians looking to leave their mark on some of the most advanced aircraft in the world. 

What You’ll Do 

As a key player in our avionics team, you will: 

• Assemble, install, and repair electrical/electronic components in helicopters 

• Perform functional checks and ensure full FAA compliance 

• Use technical blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals to guide your work 

• Collaborate across departments to meet production schedules and safety standards 

• Maintain detailed documentation for every task and completed job 

• Operate a variety of tools and testing equipment in a high-precision environment 
   

What You Bring 

Required Qualifications 

• Minimum of six (6) years of avionics experience—preferably in rotorcraft 

• Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics 

• Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve wiring issues 

• Proficiency in aviation tooling and standard shop practices 

• Must speak, read, and write English 

• Must meet physical requirements related to lifting, movement, and PPE use 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience working on the UH-72A Lakota or H-125 helicopters 

• Familiarity with FAA regulations and rotorcraft-specific standards
